According to several sources (listed below), yes it is. It is relatively new, but internationally it is recognised as a natural form of therapy.
Ocean therapy uses the ocean and water sports as a medium to better the lives of those who live with neurological and physical disabilities and/or conditions/disorders. Sometimes even just standing on a beach wave watching or looking at the ocean can make a difference.
This differs from Water therapy (also known as Hydrotherapy), as this is to do with warm water and the joints, but if you suffer with migraines, this author can firmly recommend outdoor swimming. The improvement was unmatched to anything else, the migraines reduced from 3 a week to 1 every 3-4 months.
