What is Love your Hippo?

Welcome to love your hippocampus.

You and your supercomputer. The hippocampus is that wonderful part of the brain found in the inner folds of the temporal lobe, that mainly controls learning and memory. Plus it has a cool name!

Our research is taking us down the route of accessing brain, if there is any way that we can utilise other parts of the brain for memory and recovery purposes, state of mind, and where does our drive and/or motivation come from? So we are delving into consciousness, as well as other psychology areas as well.

Love your hippo is the campaign by SOCLI who are a study in cognitive learning and information, which is more varied and focuses on general knowledge.

SOCLI have evolved into Love your Hippo because let’s face it, it is a more catchy name and alongside everything else we do also love hippos (as in the animal).

The articles for SOCLI will continue here and that will be categorised accordingly, we also have learning and memory hacks, tips and tricks and guidance on the best places to learn, as learning is not only instinctive, it is an individual practice.

SOCLI brought with them the What’s your ABC podcast, bringing you facts to random questions often asked by resident K J Foxhall and her warped friends.

We have some recommended reading and art pages because creativity is good for the mind.

AND there’s more* we also have in our happy mitts DragonKind Novelties (DKN) who run a shop of material based accessories such as resin dragons, wooden keyrings to fund our little escapade.

We are always happy to answer genuine questions (we can smell a bot a mile away by the way), so please do ask us anything by email, or if you want to join us, then that would be excellent. Again email us below and we will go from there.

Happy reading!!!

SOCLI

SOCLI is the study of cognitive learning and information.

It was originally created to be a course provider however the direction changed when we realised that there are so many good course providers out there that we endorse, therefore it would be more suited to our skills to be an online magazine and resource repository that supplements courses already available.

Our behind the scenes editors are writers and professionals in various fields and they are here to provide (where available) free information, and a portal of facts and details which is continuously being updated.

There are lots of developments coming soon, so please watch this space. Learning is for everyone and everyone is entitled to information, so let’s make learning fun and ready for everyone.
