If you’ve made it this page, you’ve likely reached the ‘I have 47 open tabs and none of them are helping‘ stage of your day, but fret no more, as you are in the right place.

On the sub-pages you will find books in a range of genres for the following:

Adults

Children

Other references

Think of this list as a curated escape hatch from the mundane. You’ll find books that actually earned their keep on our respective nightstands. No filler, no ‘I’m reading this just to look smart at brunch‘ titles, just the good stuff that changes the way you think, or at the very least, makes you a more interesting person at parties (only joking).

Why trust these recommendations?

They have been vetted for authenticity and boredom. If a book didn’t grab us by page 10, it didn’t make the cut. If we believe the book has turned from scholarly sources to creative writing just to get a few more sales, these titles also did not make the grade.

The ‘Linger’ factor. These are the stories and ideas that stick to your brain like mental velcro long after you’ve closed the cover.

Eclectic vibes. From hard-hitting non-fiction to ‘what did I just read?’ sci-fi, there’s a flavour for every mood.

A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.‘ — Robertson Davies

Pick your poison! Just please don’t blame us if you accidentally stay up until 3:00 AM finishing just one more chapter.
